When a client needed a fast turnaround on skip bin covers that could work across a range of bin sizes, we put together a cover built for real construction site conditions — quick to fit, quick to remove, and tough enough to keep contents where they belong.

The Brief: The client approached us for a quick turnaround requiring a few skip bin covers, generic enough to fit a few different sized bins.
The Challenge: Working with the client on the size required, while making allowance for the skip bin to be loaded. Also making it easy to use and to hold the contents in place in various environmental conditions, and easy to identify on large construction worksites.
The Solution: Working alongside the client, we came up with an ideal size skip bin cover that is versatile enough to fit various size skip bins — and, importantly, a cover designed to stop whatever is inside from blowing around and causing mess and hazards.

Sourcing the Right Material for a Demanding Job
A skip bin cover has to do several jobs at once: stay put in the wind, stand up to sun and rain, cope with being pulled on and off, and keep loose waste from becoming a site hazard. That's why we combined shadecloth and PVC in the cover panel, rather than settling for a lighter-duty tarp.
Stainless steel eyelets and 8mm tie ropes were chosen so the fastening points wouldn't rust or fail after repeated use.
The result is a cover built to last on a working construction site, not a quick fix that needs replacing.
