The Brief: A mining industry client needed a custom-fit PVC cover for their Unimig Envy 230 portable welder.
The Challenge: The cover needed to protect the welder from scratching, bumping and knocking in storage and transit, while being quick to remove when the welder is in use. It also had to stay securely in place while being carried, and accommodate all the unit’s handles so it worked with however the user chose to carry it safely.
The Solution: BDM built the cover from 680gsm FR-treated PVC, with a heavier-grade PVC base built in as reinforcing for extra protection where the unit takes the most knocks. The design works around the welder’s handles so it can be carried safely with the cover on, and comes off quickly when the welder needs to be used.
